Missed gym today. Hectic day, but numbers are behaving well.

Tomorrow is errand running day.  Still getting used to the new store layout. I was very happy to find Miracle Noodles last week!! One less thing I have to order online.  I really like them and they are very good for my bg!

Nice day Barb, shopping can add steps up in a hurry !   ~hi5~
I am still at the 4K +, yesterday 4533, day before 4290, but I am trying to walk as far as I can without the cane and it gets better as I continue.  I do walk with a slight limp without support and can only go so far but I am managing to go farther as I keep it up.  I have a follow-up appointment with the surgeon next Friday and he is also going to take a look at my knees.

Well I still have a big hitch in my get-along, but at least it's been diagnosed now . . . sacroiliac joint. Our PA-C prescribed a topical gel anti-inflammatory, and that seems to work more or less. And she renewed my Norco prescription, although I only use one or two a day. At least it helps me sleep at night. So apart from having to have the gel four times a day, and not being able to put it on myself, I guess we'll weather this siege too.  ::)

I've had back pain for years whenever I have to stand or walk very much, but it always goes away when I sit or lie down. This one does not go away, and that was becoming a major aggravation.

11,298 steps yesterday.  I got in another trip to the grocery store for items I forgot/couldn't find Friday.  It is right next door to my tax preparer's office.

Shanny, today Boo is spending a lot of time in my lap so may not have that many steps today.

I'm happy for you that someone has finally listened to your situation and started a treatment that may or may not be beneficial to you.  I think GPs sometimes forget that not everyone is in their office to complain, but instead to state a fact about how they really feel.

When I mention back pain to my GP, she gives me a sheet of floor exercises and sends me on my way.   :(

Well, I got the pages of exercises too . . . but she went through them with me and marked only two - only the ones which I would be able to do lying on the bed. Thank heaven she is NOT a proponent of this fat old woman getting down on the floor! We'd need a crane to get me up again!  ???

The topical inflammatory gel seems to be working finally - at least somewhat. The active ingredient is Diclofenac Sodium, and it's called Voltaren.

8,703 steps yesterday. Yeah lots of  ~ cat ~ in lap time!

Shanny glad you are getting some relief.

1595 steps yesterday as my knee was bothering me a lot.

Shanny - Glad you have at least a little bit of relief.  My podiatrist prescribed a "compounded" cream with that active ingredient in it for neuropathy pain in my feet.  It seems to work well if I remember to put it on my feet.  And my GP doesn't consider the fact that I am not flexible and just gives me generic exercises that she thinks everyone can do which is NOT true with me.
