If we lived next door, I'd send Waylon over to invite Boo for a few nights' sleepover. Only I suspect Boo would take one look at Fritz & head for the high country!  ~ cat ~

Oh Shanny, I wish it was so!!  My vet offered to board him if need be, but he is so freaked out going to the vet . He has a reputation there of being a wild cat.  I am really afraid of how this is going to scare him!  One more day of quiet until all he!! breaks loose.

I don't think the contractor really understands how traumatic this will be for Boo, but I just don't know what I can do...

8615 steps yesterday.  A lot of steps back and forth getting some things ready for the move.  I'm happy that I was able to get more steps in and not have any bad reaction except that I went out in the evening to try and get a few more steps in and my knee acted badly.
Barbara, I don't have any "words of wisdom" to help  ~ cat ~ but I'm sure he will be quite happy when it's over.

The knot in my stomach is starting to go away now that repair is eminent but I am worried about Boo... Life here is going to be different.  Night owl is going to have to be an early bird for a while... that will be hard! And us hermits  (Boo & I) are going to have to put up with people coming and going and banging on the walls. ugh!

Our holy book The Gita says "Even this, shall pass". It's consolatory, but it helps.

You are so like us - all of us hermits! It's strange to have workmen around, but sometimes it's necessary. But that doesn't help poor Boo!

Our block wall is almost done now - I think one more day of work should do it. The main guy building it is the one who mows our yard once a month too, so he's kinda used to us. And I think down here in the Ozarks, people are more tolerant of odd folks like us - they just let us be, which is exactly what we want!

skb, yes,  I have read some of the Bhagavad Gita and incorporated it into my life.  My mantra is always "this too will pass"  I just hope my cat can get there too!

Today was a quiet day, I even turned away the lawn people to keep it that way, but Boo stayed in hiding all day.  He didn't come out until after 8PM.

7796 steps yesterday.  Busy running errands in town, seeing the doctor etc. and moving around back and forth at home.  I felt pretty good and went without the knee brace all day.  I'll see how it goes today.

Got up way early, but don't know if I will get that many today.  I'm staying close to Boo and talking to him in hopes of keeping him somewhat calm.

Barbara, I hope the kitty gets through the repairs OK.

Thanks Wally. Yesterday the workers didn't leave until after 7PM.  Boo didn't come out from under the chair until after 8PM.  One of them told me they would be finished by Saturday evening. But they left at 3PM today so I don't know if that will happen...  Boo was happy to have them gone though!!

8076 steps yesterday.  I have managed to get 8K or, close, for the last 4 days so that is an improvement.  I don't know about today because my knee is being a problem this morning but that sometimes goes away after walking slowly for a while so I'll see how it goes.

9,290 steps yesterday.  My nerves are frazzled, I can't imagine what Boo is feeling!  The roof was finished today so tomorrow is a day of quiet.  I need to run errands, but it should be OK for Boo.

8194 steps yesterday.  Kind of surprised as my knee tried to give me problems off and on during the day but it was OK most of the time.

Kind of worn down what with all the noise and a totally disrupted body clock.  Glad today is quiet!
