The only good thing I can say about the smoke is tha it is creating a layer between the sun and keeping temps cooler...

BSG, I doubt if that is really a good thing. I hope the wind helps in clearing out the smoke for you.

My 2nd day at gym was on expected lines. A little bit easier but still sore in some places. I am having a good time though with all the machines. Will go out for a run with sarge one of these days.

Rocky, at this pointI am terrified by any wind! I am also so afraid of what the tree removal will do to my cat's psyche. He still hasn't recovered from the repairs to the house. I know I have to do the removal as the roots are threatening my foundation, but this is going to be even more stressful for him.

7393 steps yesterday.  Down from the last couple of days but not bad considering how my knee felt in the morning.  After my doctors appointment this morning I am going back to the old house and getting more "stuff" so more trips back and forth from house to car.  We will see how that adds up.

6226 steps yesterday.  I did good for the first part of the day and made a lot of trips from the old house to the car loading up stuff.  When I got home I just pooped out and didn't do much after that.

Last evening I went to the gym and didn't workout  :P
Yeah, we had a gym party. Those who do not drink any alcohol had a counter of protein shakes. That was a first for me. I stuck to some wine though. It was a nice party and we all had a good time.  ;D

5551 steps yesterday.  I took it easy and just kind of didn't worry about how many steps I took.  I did make my 250+ each hour though.

There was a local county Fair held over the weekend, and hubby and I plus son and grandson attended.  We all did a lot of walking and when I pulled out my phone and Fitbit, I was sorely disappointed!  I did not even make 5,000 steps.  I have a very short 'stride' of 17" which we've verified on more than once occasion.  It seems like I have to try twice as hard just to meet my goal which is quite low compared to the recommended 10,000 steps.  Most discouraging.  :(

Don't I know it! Having little short legs makes a lot of things more difficult! Seems like my whole life I've been calling for a 'tall person' to come help me with something.

Y'know this is really silly, but it's absolutely true . . . we bought a new washer awhile back & got a big one that takes a really big load. But I'm too short to be able to reach the bottom of it when there are small items like socks or handkerchiefs left stuck on the bottom!

No Maam.......not silly at all!!!!  I have the same problem with our new washer.  I sometimes have to get a wooden spoon to try and reach the item glued to the bottom if I can't get someone to fetch it for me.  Durned washer requires a dad-burn step stool just to reach the bottom.

Funny too, but I never realized how short my legs are until my boys were grown and I started taking walks with them when they would come home for a visit.  Their legs are a whole lot longer than mine.
