7102 steps yesterday.  Trying to maintain above 7K a day but my knee may have something to say about that.  Will just push on and see what happens.

6632 steps yesterday.  My knee is starting to act up so steps may be down for a bit.  Starting to use the knee brace to see if it will help.

I'm back and exhausted!!

Friday 8,546 steps.  Las Vegas airport is huge!!  And so is the Excalibur Hotel when you are getting the run around at registration!!

Saturday 10,817 steps. So much walking! Went over to the Luxor (Egyptian style) Hotel to tour the Titanic Relic exhibition, it was amazing! Even 6 yo GD loved it and was fascinated. Lots of walking at the Luxor and some shopping for said 6yo GD.

That night we saw a dinner show at the Excalibur "Tournament of the Kings" a King Arthur style story with kings from various European countries battling each other and then the evil Mordred. The audience was seated in country sections and we cheered "our" King on. We were Ireland (actually we are of Irish descent!).  There were battles on horse back with lots of explosions and fireworks, great costumes, and dancing, totally amazing choreography! The dinner was served in style as they would have eaten then. No silverware, eat with hands.  It actually was fairly safe for lc/hf if you ignore a few items. Started with a small bowl of tomato soup, (I drank it..heck I'm on vacation) a whole cornish game hen so delish, juicy, fatty, a huge hunk of broccoli steamed with I think some butter, a couple small potatoes (I ate a bit of one) a biscuit (ate a bite), dessert was a 2x3" piece of apple strudel...sorry I ate it all! What can I say??? I know I will pay, but it was so much fun! I have never been to a dinner show and we were in the first row and had lots of interaction with the characters. If I can figure out how to do it I can post of my GD with the "King of Ireland".

We lazed by the pool and did lots of hugging and snuggling with the kids. It was an awesome weekend!!

On Friday I changed my flights (with huge fees) so I only had to stop in Seattle today before coming home. Did lots of walking in LV airport and SeaTac so now at 9Pm I am already over 10,000 steps.  This may end up being a record day!

12,664 steps yesterday. That may be a record.

Unfortunately I woke up with a sore throat and sore knee so today will probably not even be close.

7,296 steps yesterday.

Knee is better today, but sore throat and stuffy nose are not. I think I'm a little feverish too. Taking it easier today.

What I do in these situations is have a lot of water (5-6 litres) the entire day. Just keep sipping it at regular intervals. Make sure it is at ambient temperature or slightly warm. It helps clear the infection in a day.

Thanks skb!  I am drinking a lot, but for some reason cold water out of the refrigerator tastes really good to me. I'll try to stick to ambient temp water.

6379 steps yesterday.  I'm still trying to deal with a cranky knee so this is about my best right now.  I am supposed to be doing knee exercises and I have not been doing very well on that, need to start.
There may be a valid reason to drink water that is at ambient temperature but I am one that needs my water cold.  I can drink it at room temp but I will not drink as much.

6,428 steps yesterday.

Sore throat is gone, but stuffy nose is still around and it is trying to settle in my chest. Knee is on and off wonky. Still taking it easy today.

Will keep that in mind and try it the next time my throat acts up.
@bsg, good to see you on the mend.
I skipped gym yesterday as I was very tied up at the office till the late hours.
