Great Wally. I've started with smaller weights and my shoulders, chest & upper arms are displaying that familiar soreness. It's the nice kind of pain.

Great numbers Wally. I too had a good day yesterday. Climbed 37 floors and then did my full gym routine, plus had the 2 km run with Sarge.

Boo threw up again today and has be very much a lap cat since, so today may not be as good.

Well, yesterday it was an example of how limiting my knee is.  I started out OK and did good for the first couple of hours but then the knee just wouldn't let me continue.  I have an appointment on the 30th with my orthopedic doctor and hope that I might be able to try the sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronan) intra-articular injection that may be the answer.  I really don't look forward to a knee replacement and my doctor believes I am too old for the operation.  That was scoffed at by the surgeon that did my hip fracture so if it came to that he would probably be where I went.

Had a bad day at the office, so I skipped with the gym. I did manage to climb 30 floors though. I think I will go swimming today after work.

I started out good again yesterday, went shopping and did 14K for the 10AM hour and then my darn knee started giving me problems again.  Ended up with 5347 steps for the day.  Now I am really hoping for a solution next Thursday when I see my orthopedist.

Swimming is the absolute best cardio/pulmonary exercise there is! I was a distance swimmer years ago.

I'm sorry to hear your knee is bothering you so much Wally, and hope you can find some relief.

I was on a 6-day cruise to Mexico last week, and walked a lot on ship.  One of the other friends that went with us is 86 years old and walks slowly, and I discovered that when I have to walk slowly, my left hip begins to ache.  So that wasn't too fun.  But otherwise, I enjoyed doing more walking than usual.

Since returning home, I've been more housebound, as my older sister (who had 100% of the care giving for our younger, disabled sister while I was gone), has been out and about more than usual.  That's okay - fair is fair!  Instead, I've been doing more stretching exercises and the usual house cleaning chores.

Shanny, I was very keen, but couldn't make it. Maybe today.

Hope it was just a one day thing and everything is resolved now.

7634 steps yesterday.  Better and I did manage to make at least 500 steps or more each hour from 7 AM to 6 PM and that I think is a good thing.  I am going to keep my goal at 7K steps and maybe my knee will be happier with that.
