I managed 6176 steps yesterday and quite a lot of it was without using the cane.  My biggest problem seems to be my right knee and I got a cortisone injection yesterday so I hope that will help.  In the past it has taken a couple of days to get complete relief but it was definitely better after I got home.  I am interested to see how I do today.

11,720 steps yesterday.  The  ~ cat ~ was doing his own thing so I got to walk a lot more.

Hope the shot helps your knee Wally.

Do you dream about Boo? I was dreaming about Waylon last night . . . nightmare-quality dreaming! I think I'm beginning to worry about his age; that he might leave me before too long. The ornery little stinker pays no attention when I tell him he has to live forever!  ~ cat ~

I know my bad dreams come when I'm sleeping too warm; may have to consider running the a/c during the night & sleeping in the living room.  :-\   And while the low tonight is predicted 50° which is cool enough for me, the actual outside temp is 63°, which is too warm!

6100 steps yesterday which is not bad for me but the really good thing is that I walked all day yesterday without using the cane at all and that is a first.  Yes, the cortisone did help a lot and although I still have a slight limp on my right side I am doing pretty good.  I believe I need to get back to doing more of the exercises I was given by the PT team, kind of slacked off on that and concentrated on walking.

3,272 stepz yesterday although it might have been a few more.  We went shopping at more than one store looking for 'flowers' for hubby to plant outside.  He dearly loves to watch things grow and since we are not farmers, the next best thing is flowers.

You are doing great Wally.  Do you ever experience a little uneasiness while walking without your cane?

Shanny - I once had a veterinarian tell me that when the time comes for your pet to leave you, somehow you will know.  Can't say I wanted to hear that news, but it was true in our case.  While I miss my dog dearly, I know she is in a better place and not suffering.  It is me that suffers from lack of her company.

No, not now.  My knee did have a tendency to give out once in a while but the cortisone injection has done a good job with that.  My balance is quite good and I don't have any problem other than still a bit of pain in my leg.  I do have a bit of a limp but that is getting better.

11,116 steps yesterday.  Today is another  ~ cat ~ in lap day so not sure how many steps I'll get in today.

Yes, Shanny, I do dream of Boo sometimes.  Some are rather nightmarish and others are that he gets outside and I can't find him.  He is totally an indoor cat.  He'll be 11 this July and has some health issues though they seem better now.

Waylon is a totally indoor cat now too, but in the early years we never even kept a litterbox - he went to the door when he wanted out & meowed to get back in when he was ready. We progressed to the stage where he could go out, but only if Fritz went with him - supposing Fritz could scare off anything dangerous, despite being a quite timid German shepherd. Then Waylon just got too goofy to allow outside at all - he'd go out with Fritz, but then get to prowling around & not come back for an hour or more. That was just more stress than we could handle, so no more outdoors trips. He bítched about it for a few days, but soon got the message.

Boo has always been an indoor cat. Once shortly after he came to me as a rescue, he got outside but was terrified and I gathered him up and he has been inside ever since.
He is to this day scared of the sound of a  ski jacket  sleeve, that schwisy  sound.  My only thought is he had suffered something from then but I hope I can wipe it out someday.

I slowed down a bit but still managed just over 5K Saturday and Sunday and I haven't touched the cane since Thursday so I am pretty happy about that.

Oh gosh - I hope so too! Sweet little guy.

Waylon's issue is just the opposite - he might challenge some grouchy old groundhog or other wildlife, who has every capability of cleaning his clock!  ~ cat ~

I skipped gym last evening and went for a swim instead. I was in the pool for maybe 30-40 minutes and swam quite a few laps.
