I know that all purpose flour is not a good idea. Which is a better substitute between coconut flour or almond flour?  Pros and cons for each one?

skb - Nothing in particular. It just seems to be in so many recipes, especially for coating chicken, etc.

You know what makes a great low carb breading??  Crushed pork rinds, add some pepper or what ever spices you want.  Works great for fish too.

Hello , gram flour is nice to roll on fish and fry ,turns our crispy too .in India we call it besan .

I've never thought of using pork rinds, although I've seen it in recipes for meatloaf, but I haven't tried it yet.

Learn something new every day! Gram flour is new to me, and while not particularly low-carb (16g per ounce vs. 21g per ounce for all-purpose flour), it's lower than wheat flour & it's a legume instead of grain.

That David Mendosa guy is ga-ga about it. Works fine for me, if I have it in the am. Doesn't really shoot BG as much.
