Howdy all, new to the forum but not to Diabetes.  I was diagnosed in 1993 and for years used a sulfonylurea an metformin and followed doctors advice to control my blood sugar.  I knew I was doing well because I was always told that "you are doing great" even though I had tested at times after a meal and saw bg 200-300 mg/dl but mentioning that to my doctor did nothing and it was brushed off.  It took me a lot of years to question the wisdom of my doctor but finally when my A1c went over 7% and my doctor brushed it off I finally took control and started research.  I was lucky to find Jenny Ruhl's book and Dr. Bernstein and started LCHF two years ago.  I was able to quit the sulfonylurea and now use Metformin only and diet and my last A1c was 4.6% and the doctor is history.
I see several familiar faces here and hope to talk to all of you.

Great you're here, Wally! How're things out in the high desert?

Hi, doing good here Tamagno.  We've gotten some rain this winter, certainly a lot more than the last 4 years but would like to see some more.  With the amount we have received so far though it should be a good year for wild flowers though and they are already starting.
