Hello.

I'm Pablo. Not very good with skill in language. Type II found this same year.
Good day to you.

skb

Hi Pablo,

Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about your language skills as we are a global community with people from all corners of the world. We are a very young forum (only 6 months old) but our team is participating and managing diabetic forums for decades now.

Pablo, It would help us all immensely, in understanding you, if you would share some of your numbers with us. Whatever that you are comfortable in sharing. Like, what are your morning fasting numbers, your after meal numbers, if you check. What is your latest A1c if it has been tested. Any other information that you think would be helpful to us.

Meanwhile, so acquaint yourself with the website and the forum. You will find important forum links in your right panel, below "10 Recent Posts" and clicking on our logo on the top will take you to our website. If you have any comments, feel free to write.

As skb says, some numbers would really help. And ask away if you have any questions, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here.
BTW English is also not my first language.

Welcome back, Pablo.  ~wve~

Your numbers are high - yes - but we can help you learn how to lower them quickly and safely. Tell us if you take any diabetes meds or insulin, and let us know what your diet is like; what foods do you eat?

Here are a coupla links from our main index page which should help you get the gist of how this works.

Like Shanny said, these numbers are high. It would be nice to also know if you have a meter & do you test regularly ?
The links Shanny has given are also there as buttons on the extreme top of the forum to the right. Do read from our Articles. It will help you to understand your condition.

Hi Pablo,
I checked the site calculator and got 215 as avg BG for a1c 8.2
Which could mean that you touch 300s when high. That is really high man. One question that comes to mind, was your 229 a random test or fasting. As a random it would be better tolerable than a fasting 229. I hope you will read from all the articles. They helped me bring down my numbers from 170s to 120s in days. Days not weeks.

Hi Pablo and welcome to the forum.  As others have said, yes your BG numbers are higher than you want them to be.  Glad you found this forum and I hope you will read through the helpful links already provided.  I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago.  I found the good people here and with their helpful advice and information, I have been able to get my BG numbers under control, and I have also been losing weight and feeling so much better.  It is very do-able.  Please stick around, read a lot, and ask questions.

I think skb moved one of your posts to a new thread called 'why low carb?', and I'm sorry you couldn't find it at first. I just replied to that thread, so I think if you use this link for 'unread posts', you'll be able to get there. http://www.diabetic.pub/forum//index.php?action=unread;c=6  I hope I haven't made the confusion even worse.  :(
