86 (4.76) this morning.  It was not quite as hot as predicted yesterday.  It was supposed to be 104° and our high was 99° (37.2°C).  Probably going to be about the same for the rest of the week.  Break in temp should start next Monday.  It's hot but not that bad.  I have to go to town today and it is supposed to get to 112° (44.4°C)  so I am really glad that I have  A/C in the car.  But then like we always say :[attachment id=0]

I fell asleep watching television only to be startled awake by a 'noise'.  It turns out my blood sugar dropped to 52 (2.88).  I'm sure glad for the Dexcom CGM.

In late 2010, I was on a met + glip combo and had just started LC food. I experienced many hypos at night, while asleep. Of course my hypos were false hypos between 65-70, but I have woken up every time with a start, mostly experiencing a nightmare. This is a good defence mechanism that the brain employs.
I had the same experience when I started LCHF four years ago.  I was also on Met and Glipizide and I and my body were not ready to be that low.  The first time I hit 70mg/dl I knew immediately that I was low and it scared me.  That was when I stopped the Glipizide totally and found out that when eating right I didn't need it.  I know they are called false hypos but it sure feels real.  For those that are T-1 and have to use insulin makes it much more of a challenge to manage.

I definitely understand that "dry heat" thing, having lived a coupla decades in Colorado before moving to Missouri for the last 30 years. You can take a lotta hot as long as it isn't humid. Even now when we're still in the 80s, we can sit quietly in our rocking chairs & recognize when the humidity gets past about 70%. Those days in Colorado we struggled to get it up to 20%! And if we get up & try to do any chores, we wilt in a hurry unless we get the a/c going to dehumidify.

82 (4.54) this blue sky morning, 91 (5.04) at bedtime last night.

It got up to 81°F (27.2°C) today, so much for the cooling trend.  Supposedly in the 70's tomorrow.

@tamagno, isn't 20 like really really low. Hypo unaware sounds risky.

I was 80 last evening before dinner and 94 today morning.

I'm in for another couple of highly active office days. Got to go.

Hypos are definitely risky, Rocky; once had a seizure during one of those forays below 40. I keep a glucagon kit in the house for emergencies that is an injection that stimulates a liver dump, basically.

83 (4.6) this morning.  Actually it was not as hot as predicted yesterday, 98° (36.7°C) for a high compared to the predicted high of 104°.  Had to go to town for a few things yesterday and it was over 110° (43.3°C) and although the A/C in the car makes it nice, when you have to leave the car in the parking lot for an hour or more it gets really hot inside.  Hard to even tough the steering wheel until things cool down a bit.  Yeah, it is a dry heat and that helps but over 100° is hot no matter what.

106 (5.87) this morning after a 311 17.23) last night due to "equipment failure" which thankfully rarely happens.  I feel pretty much exhausted and am glad the weather is cooler today.  I am also hypo unaware and it isn't pleasant at all.

;D I "like" every post on The DP as a matter of routine. That doesn't mean, I'm happy with the content, especially when a member friend is in any kind of trouble, but just the fact that s/he posted.

Hypo unawareness seems a scary thing.
Grammabear that number is pretty high. Don't you get an alert alarm when the equipment fails ?

108 today morning after a cauliflower pizza for dinner. I am getting better at it and my husband loves it too. Thinking of trying more low carb stuff.

Take care Grammabear.

104 (5.76) this morning.  Well, our high yesterday was 99.9° (37.72°C) so we were still under 100°   :D
It looks like a cooling trend starting Monday.
@Tamagno, yes, the high heat is, well, HOT, but it is not unusual in the south west USA and summers here you have to expect that temps over 100° are to be expected.  I used to work outside in this heat but now I stay inside with the cooler on.   `8)
