Food wise, it was a good day yesterday and I have a decent 113 fasting to show for it.

Barbara, it takes me 4 days to 'fully' recover from a bad meal. Sine you are better controlled than I am, I guess it will take you a lesser amount of time. It'll be nice to know for sure. At least this meal proves you are not 'cured'. You should show your doctor these numbers.

In no way do I consider myself "cured"  this meal just proved it!  I did it in honor of my passed friend, Even the ice cream cake was bought by his wife in hopes he would eat something/anything which he didn't/couldn't.  We ate it for him!!.

99 (5.48) this morning.  No rain here yesterday but thunder heads really built up in the afternoon.  Still we are lucky as humidity was around 14% so the cooler was working well and it was 97° (36.1°C).  Still getting a lot of smoke from the wildfire north of here.  It is now at 5000 acres and only 14% contained so it is going to be going for a while.
Yeah, it is unfortunately easy to prove you are diabetic just by eating more carbs than you can safely handle.  It still amazes me how ignorant many doctors can be about Diabetes when it has risen to affect such a large portion of the population.

42 (2.33) this morning.  I'm tired of dealing with diabetes and all the 'surprises' it offers up.  For weeks now my numbers have been steady and dependible.  Now, the weather is hot at 90 degrees with 58% humidity and my blood sugar numbers have plummeted.  I can barely keep it above 70, which for me doesn't feel good at all.

98 (5.43) this warm partly cloudy morning, 98 at bedtime last night too.  Still paying for the transgressions on the 4th. Oh well...

Sorry Grammabear that you are having these problems.

The heat here is killing me!  My outside thermometer says it is only 82°F (27.7°C) but the one inside with an outside reader says it is 100°F (37.7°C).  Not sure which is correct, maybe somewhere in the middle. My phone app says it is 90°F (32.2°C).  Don't know where that reading is taken, but it may be closest to correct.

I forgot to mention we had a 5.i8 magnitude earth quake last night. Having grown up in CA I am used to them.  This one knocked photos off my mantle[ and pictures were askew.  Coming from CA I am used to earth quakes..I was in Costco when Loma Preiita  hit! . it was very scary. Mt it also seems is to be a high earthquake state also., Photos fell off my my mantle and some hanging photos were askew. This was the  biggest earthquake  in 12 years.  I had just moved here when last one happened. {/size][/fo

Glad to know you are safe GrammaB. I hope your sugar levels subside.

110 yesterday morning but missed testing today. Ate a little bit of icecream and rice for dinner so would not have been an encouraging number. Today is better till now.

Rocky- hope your work load is manageable.

168 this morning.

My procedure yesterday went fine with no complications. It has to be done a couple more times, but at least I can eat "soft" foods meantime.

Kathy, your frustration is understandable and it's unfortunately not just a matter of eating some ice cream or something. Doubtless, you've tried the usual adjustments...

84 (4.65) this morning.  We got up to 97.5° (36.4°C) yesterday and it is supposed to be about the same today.  Tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest and then cooling down a bit but it will remain in the 90s.  Still a chance of thunderstorms for the next few days.
@Tamagno, glad it went well !
@Kathy, yeah, it is not easy to deal with a lot of the time but "'tis what "tis" so hope you can smooth it out a bit.

65 (3.60) this morning.  At least it isn't any lower.

Yes, John, it is frustrating and sometimes I run out of ideas of things to try.
Glad your procedure went well.  Thinking about you.

Barb - Glad the earthquake was not any stronger.  I've only been in 2 earthquakes and neither was very large.  Still don't care for them at all.
