I've been hunkered down since before New Year's Eve. I am going to have to go out tomorrow or Thursday to go to the PO and grocery store.  I really don't like driving on the icy roads.  I should have gotten new tires this Fall, but the time got away from me.

I hope your well house is nice & toasty this time, Barb, so you don't lose your water supply again. 

We had to go out today because I was down to one dose of Lantus left & we were getting low on cream & butter. We also needed to gas up the car - always keep the top half full - so we made three stops; pharmacy, supermarket & gas station. Had to use the wheelbarrow to get the groceries in the house, but we're set for a few more days which are forecast to be cold. Not as low as you, but miserably low. Fire going full blast in the stove tonight though, so I think we can keep everything warm including the plumbing.

109 today morning. Husband bought a Starbucks muffin yesterday night. I stared at it all night. Was getting tempted today morning but both kids loved it and finished it.

Have to get my dog spayed tomm. Please keep her and me in your prayers. I have started feeling the familiar tightness in my chest.

A very weird night for glucose - had to suspend twice to get and stay above 50 despite the usual interventions.

Days like this make me wonder if something strange has happened!

Seeing the oncologist later today. Maybe some answers there.

72 this morning.  Winds are 18 mph so temperature outside, which is 7 deg F, actually feels like -12 deg F.  Glad I don't have errands to run today.

67 (3.71) this cold partly cloudy morning, 70 (3.88) at bedtime last night.

Got up to 10°F (-12.22°C) today, heading down to -12°F (-24.44°C) tonight.  With the wind chill it will be much colder.

The pump house is all duct taped up, all the cracks are covered and I have a milk shed heater going under the house. Water is running slowly in several sinks all the time now until it warms up some.  I'm feeling pretty good about keeping water on.

Hard to say, but probably The Warburg Effect ? It could be the tumour sucking the glucose away from the system.

126 this morning. Slowly trending down. A reminder to keep away from the Sugar Free chocolate.

skb, aren't sugar free chocolates 'safe' ? I always thought so.
I have started to record AJ's reading every evening when he comes home. But some days work makes things impossible. Today morning he was at 108. Things are limping back to normal after the hectic year end.

My dog's surgery has been postponed by a week or so. Doctor was unavailable.

That depends on how much is "little". One piece should not be a problem. The problem is how to stop at one piece.

Don't know, SKB - I sure hope it's not the Warburg Effect, but the same thing last night. I guess I'll see what happens today. I may go back to pens for awhile to see if it helps.

Meanwhile, I had a good visit with the oncologist yesterday. I'm off pain meds!
