Maybe because i ended up climbing 43 floors yday. I live on the 14th floor and work on the 11th floor of my office building. Have decided to not take the life (unless i am with kids/dog) for 100 days. Today is day 3 and i already feel a stamina increase. Walked 4 kms today apart from climbing 13 floors. May do 13 floors more post dinner.

Paulomi, that is some climbing. That is a sure reminder to me get myself back on my exercise routine. A few niggles keep me busy with work. Once I'm able to streamline them, I'll sure get back to my normal routine.

I guess all forum users are introverts. The extroverts are on Facebook. But don't you worry, we'll feed you some high carb sweets and get your tongue rolling.

43 floors ccd ? Wow, you have my admiration.

80 last evening before dinner and 93 fasting today.
My life is based on a true story.

197 this morning (new insulin pod and wacky CGM).

Interesting theory regarding personality types and Forum vs. Facebook, SKB. I certainly fall in the introvert category, lending credence to it, however I've learned to be social when necessary. Don't worry, Paulomi, you can give me cooking lessons when you come which will loosen both our tongues!

94 this morning.  Nice weather right now with a bit of cooling next week.
CCD, wow, that is a lot of stairs !
I'm more of an introvert but I found that there were forums where people with the same interest gathered and there was a lot of information there.  I followed forums that were based on some of my interests like astronomy and computers and found a great resource for answers to questions I had and help.  When I started to research how to take care of my diabetes I started to look for forums to get answers and it has helped a great deal.  I never have been a user of Facebook or Twitter and I use my phone to make phone calls.  I don't think there is anything wrong with Facebook, I just am not familiar with it.

188 this morning (due to over treating a low last night)  :(

We have rain last night and today.....yeah :)  :)  Our fields and grass can sure use the moisture.

I use several different forums, one of which is for sleep apnea.  It was surprising to learn of all the various hobbies people there have.  Also different to learn that a fair number of people with sleep apnea also have diabetes.

101 (5.6) at bedtime last night.

Marginally better but still flemmy and coughing.

I think people with diabetes are susceptible to many other illnesses. T1 being an autoimmune condition, more so. Dr Bernstein has found 45% of his T2 patients suffer from hypothyroid. I find myself in that bracket even though only 20% of hypothyroid patients are men.

I am an extreme introvert myself. I don't have a FB or other such account. I have very few friends and hang out with my mum whenever I get the time. I guess all these years my excessive weight kept me away from people.

ccd, yesterday I climbed 22 floors. It took me 3 halts to do that but that's what I did. Being a Saturday, the gym was not on the cards, so that's what I did. Thanks for the inspiration.

72 before dinner yesterday and 88 this morning.

101 today morning. climbed 30 stairs yday and walked 5 miles. I have realised that rather than stressing to fit gym schedules in the weekdays, i will focus on stair climbing on weekdays and stair climbing + 40-60 min walk on weekends.

Not sure if it will help the weight but it is surely helping building my stamina and keeping the fasting numbers down.

Nice points on introvert-extrovert. Anyone who meets me would believe i am an extrovert as i have mastered the art of having casual conversations at workplace. But i consider it a part of my job. My preference would always be not to talk and just sit besides a friend while they do their thing and i do mine.

A lot of people believe that introverts are those who do not like talking or socialising. But a recent study pointed out that introverts like talking and socailising but it drains them out. They regain their energy while being alone while extrovert regain their energy being surrounded by people. That makes much more sense to me.

135 this morning.

I will always prefer solitude to socializing - especially large groups - as it is always just work to me. One thing I like about this sort of forum is the ability to choose words with some care and the possibility of exchanging useful information.

At almost 70 degrees Fahrenheit, it's oddly warm here this morning...

110 this morning.

Here it is 52 degrees and sunny.  Hubby has outside work to do such as starting to clean off the garden for this season in preparation for the winter.

I'm not much for large crowds as it is hard to hear conversations with the nearby person.  I have hearing impairment which makes socializing an uncomfortable situation.

77 this morning.  High temp today is supposed to be 90° and since we were at 89° yesterday I think that is likely.  Tomorrow we are supposed to see a drop to 77° and we have wind warnings for the whole day with possible gusts to 50MPH.  It can get very windy here.

95 (5.26) yet again this morning, 93 (5.15) at bedtime last night.

Feeling better but still dragging some.

Wally, I am still traumatized by the wind.  I hope we don't get any of that wind until my trees are down!!

I consider myself a hermit. I stick pretty much close to home, only going out for appointments or errand running.  I have a few friends and we get together several times a year, but other than that I don't socialize much. And I am fine with that.

I was very shy for the better part of my life. I took to teaching / coaching to change that part of me, because shy people do not like public speaking and teaching involves a lot of it. It worked but I still have a tough time engaging in small talk.
