102 this morning and it is still cold here.  Wind chill is -21 deg C which makes me want to hibernate.

@Tamagno - It is good news to hear you're off pain meds.  What does your Endo say about your experience with night time lows?  I would be tempted to give the pens a try just to see if they might make a difference.  I don't remember which insulin you use, but both Novolog and Humalog have 'half-unit' pens for people who might need to fine tune their dose of insulin.

74 (4.1) this cold clear morning, 80 (4.43) at bedtime last night.

Went out to run some errands and do a small grocery shopping.  It is just too cold to be outside!

It got up to 1°F (-17.22°C) today, last night when I went to bed it was -15°F (-26.11°C), it is heading down to -3°F (-19.44°C) tonight.  Then it will start to warm up a bit into the single digits and even the teens. Yay!!

AJ was at 107 this morning. Thought he'd be much lower based on his evening number.

@ccd, what chocolate do you prefer ? I've attached an image of the ones that we prefer. I think this might be OK for you. They also have only Milk if you like that.

111 this morning.

That's great information, Grammabear, thank you! I'm calling my endo today to get the half-unit pens if only for back up. I suspect bad pod(s?) for causing the trouble.

101 this morning.  Temperature is -1deg F, wind chill is -15 deg F......just too cold for me.

John - I hope the pens work for you.  I also had issues with erratic blood sugar numbers while using the pods for 3-1/2 yrs.

99 today morning (lowest in long). But was 130 yesterday morning (highest ever).

After that shocking reading of 130, I tried to test again and the battery of the meter died. And i could not find the new batteries that I had. Finally found them today and thankfully it was not as high as yesterday.

We secured admissions for my son in the same school I was worried about. The school is a bit anti-technology (for young kids) and really tells off parents if they expose kids to too much smartphones, i pads or television. My kids are thankfully not addicted and have a restricted screen time. But i see kids here at restaurants  glued to their phones and even at shopping malls.

Starsign- that chocolate looks so yummy! I generally love those really dark chocolates with a tinge of orange. And those liquor chocolates in the shape of a small bottle. The other day i just ate some of my kid's chocolates :)

Aj was 87 last night before meals and 102 this morning  ;D

@ccd, smartphone radiation is bad for everyone, much worse for kids. I congratulate you on choosing a school which frowns upon phones being used by toddlers.
The chocolates that we use, are quite OK with AJ and his numbers, but we never go over 2-3 pieces.

I hope so too, Grammabear - I had ny endo send in the 'script yesterday. Great back up until I can get my insurance company to authorize a switch to T-Slim.

Congratulations, Carbcrazydog!

96 this morning.

Current temperature is 3 deg F and a wind chill of -13 deg.  Today's high is forecast for 17 deg F which seems like a heat wave after the last 2-3 days.

Well, I'm out of the Hospital and in a "Skilled Nursing Facility" for rehab.  I actually got here Wednesday but just got my laptop today.  I'm sorry but I just don't do well with trying to use the phone for this.  I did manage a message when I first ended  up in the Hospital so people wouldn't think I had left the living but trying to keep that up just doesn't work. I don't "text" either !   ;)
Rehab has started and I think I am doing pretty good.  Estimate is that I will be here 1-2 weeks, no more than two weeks.  That is good because I don't like being here but who would.  I have to say that this is the most painful thing I have ever had to deal with.  I am managing to walk for a short distance using a walker and I am learning methods to deal with some of the things we take for granted, like putting clothes on.
I had an interesting conversation with the dietitian and it was not bad at all.  She listened to me and even though her training was opposed so some of my methods she agreed to go along with my desires and I have more meat and mostly non starchy vegies.  I can't report my bg because they are terrible here at testing and I need to get my meter.  I was quite happy in the Hospital though because I was usually at 130 or lower and they tested 3-4 times a day.  Anyway, that is the latest so it's just working on healing.
