227 - reduced the insulin, but the carbs too...  Tinker tinker tinker.

GB, I've had a few clients in the radio industry, it's a tough nut to crack.  I hope he can figure out a way to continue to nurture that passion.

CCD, wow, getting pushed every week?!  Good grief.  Just keep being you.  :)

Wally, we are mild as well unfortunately.  This menopausal woman will take as much cold and rain as she can get.

98 (5.43) this partly cloudy morning, 84 (4.65) at bedtime last night.

Weather is mild here too, days mid 30's to low 40's, nights high 20's. Yes, that is mild, in the dead of Winter numbers are in the minus.

My observation is that many "extroverts" are simply anxiety ridden and chatter endlessly (often about the same thing) as a way of relieving undue stress. As is so often the case, the person in need of "repair" is the one being critical.

So true, and I quite agree.

166 this morning (Grammabear, I went to bed at 167 and left my basal just a bit low - should have kicked it up some).

Yesterday I made the last of three casseroles I've done with leftover turkey. This last is best, with Swiss cheese, bacon, homemade cranberry sauce with jalapeño, gravy with cognac and mustard and sweet potato.

Anyway, there's enough of my leftover, leftover casseroles that I won't be cooking for nearly a week...

150 this morning.  John - same thing regarding the basal happened here.  I get so weary of nighttime hypos, so changed the basal and I ended up with 150.  :(  Will try again tonight for a better number.

Would love to have turkey leftovers at my house, that used to be my favorite part of the holiday.

97 this morning.  Tamagno, it sounds like you are making the best out of being able to eat solid food again.  Good for you !   ~hgr~
I thought I would try the LC Tortillas on Netrition and last night I had BLT wraps.  Very tasty and my bg stayed pretty good.

Wally, I can get away with those tortillas once in a while, not on a regular basis. I don't buy them often and I keep them in the freezer.

109 this morning.

What I've taken to doing is using ingredients that make flavors of things like pizza, tacos, Asian foods, etc. and either just leaving out the crusts, breads, rice and potatoes while making them or replacing the carb-laden things with different vegetables. (Also, I'm using pure sucralose to sweeten where needed.)  Most can be put in casseroles and baked that also makes portion control easy and can be saved and reheated.

Interestingly, since surgery, I can't eat any breads, etc. since they're too filling too quickly. Nor can I eat for two hours before bed. Sort of surprise "gifts" that help limit carbs.

102 this morning.  Even with the LC version of the bread and the tortillas I have to be careful.  My bg is going to be higher but not too bad and so far I have not gone over 120mg/dl at any time so I can live with that.  It is kind of nice to be able to have some variety once in a while.

90 (4.99) this overcast morning, 88 (4.88) at bedtime last night.

Snow in forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning. It is 39°F (3.89°C) right now so I believe that it could snow later.

I have never tried those, but I believe this to be true.

82 last evening before dinner but today morning was a little higher at 97 because I checked a little later than usual.

Party was great. Kids had so much fun.

This pic was on the bday and the moment when i felt blessed the most. What matters most, in one frame.

119 this morning.

Somehow, my "like" buttons aren't working today, so I'm sorry more aren't pushed, especially your photo, CCD!

Well, I have to confess missing the textures and flavors of some of those bready foods like tacos. I'm thinking of trying something next week that will have a crunch to it and am looking into panko or maybe some crumbled taco. I'll have to look around to see if I can find some LC versions.
