@skb, I logged in yesterday and put up my readings in the BG Tracker. I couldn't post in the Fasting thread for some strange reason. I typed in my post but the screen wouldn't budge after clicking the Post button. Any particular cause or reason for that ?

Most probably an interrupted internet connection, but it is really hard to say in retrospect what caused it.

I was out for a week on a short vacation. Back in Mumbai and to the forum from today.
Last night I recorded a 100 pre-dinner and a 133 today morning. Probably the dates of Oman are talking.

115 today morning and 134 post meal yesterday night. Had dinner at a birthday party and diligently avoided desserts and birthday cake. But had some rice.

Kids had a lot of fun. I have started enjoying birthday parties and all the balloons and games more than i would care to admit :)

walkerwally- I agree that it is a little sad when people suddenly stop posting. But i think most of the 'long term' participants on the group will not leave because of boredom. I am sure they too have made a lot of friends around and would like to hear. I remember i stopped posting because I stopped checking my numbers and a lot of it was about being in denial. I have a feeling a lot of new joiners fall in that group. The initial high of tracking numbers gets a burden after awhile when you let yourself slip.

Yes, that could be it. I was using a colleagues computer and network, so that may have been it.

I got a 79 last evening  ;D and a 90 this morning fasting.

93 this morning.  Our weather is rainy again.  I saw 3 American Goldfinch song birds at our feeder bright and early this morning.  It is a sure sign of Spring.

Shanny - I hope you feel better soon.  Could it be the changeable weather that aggravates your body and increases pain level?

Well, it could be, I guess . . . except the weather hasn't changed! It's STILL raining every darn day!

Here too, folks are joking that they should start building an Ark.  I miss the sunshine.

So far our river hasn't gone out of its banks, but if it doesn't stop soon, our road will be flooded.

Grammabear

Shanny - If your road should be flooded, any danger of it washing out and then you would be stranded?   :(

98 (5.43) this morning at 3:00 AM.  Back from my trip to Cedars-Sinai for my annual follow up for the heart valve.  Everything is ticking away like it is supposed to and all systems are go !  Gads, the traffic on the LA area freeways is terrible.  I don't know how people that have to deal with it every day keep their sanity.  Living out in the boonies I have forgotten how to deal with it.  I used to work downtown LA and drive it every day but it has gotten much worse now than it was that many years ago.
It was a 300 mile round trip but leaving early and getting out early helped a lot.
Shanny, bummer, sorry to hear about your ailments, hope you get relief soon.  I know it's no fun.

And when too many people clamour for too little space their worst behaviour comes out in the most inhuman ways. I think Mumbai city is the living example of all this. I wish I could just run away, but too many strings hold me back.

My own fault ...black bean chile  and a low carb beer. It was good, but I knew it was going to raise my numbers.

Yes, it is higher than your norm but still a respectable number.  I have taken the attitude that it isn't always necessary to keep the lowest bg number possible and to enjoy some things that I know will raise my bg a bit but still keep me under my 120 max goal.  I think it is good to keep a strict eye on our bg I believe I was a bit too strict for a while and missed out on some things.
