Pili nuts

Has anyone here eaten pili nuts?

We've been buying more & more nuts to fill out our LCHF eating, and I noticed these at the nuts.com website where we buy several different kinds. Had never heard of them before, and while they're roasted, they aren't salted. They're high protein too - containing all eight vital amino acids - so tell me all you know about these!  ;)

I buy from Nuts.com and have never bought Pili nuts because I don't think about it.  I understand that they are quite good and have good nutritional value.  Thanks for the reminder, I am going to try them the next time I order.

Jimmy Moore has mentioned pill nuts several times.  Not sure what his source is but he seems to swear by them.

I am sort of losing some faith in Jimmy Moore lately, but these could be good...

Yeah, I am not as fond of Jimmy as I was at first.  He is a fan of Pili nuts because the source on his website is a sponsor so he wants people to buy from the link on his page.

I just ordered almonds and walnuts from nuts.com two weeks ago so it will be a while before I order again.  Pili nuts are not cheap at $14.99 for 8 oz. but I think I will try them next time.  If you order before then please let us know how they are.  Nutrition wise they are supposed to be quite good.

Me too. After 2 hot selling books and a number of sponsored ads on his site he is now more focused on making money. But his podcasts are still worth listening to. He does invite great people to talk & their insights and arguments for LC are worthwhile.

We have plenty of almonds & pecans, but had to reorder brazils & pistachios just a coupla days ago, so prob'ly won't be ordering again right away. The brazils are becoming a mainstay, because they're really high fat.

I haven't ordered from nuts.com in a while, but I have an order ready to place.  Have to wait until the  ~ cat ~ gets off my lap and I can look up my login info.

Shanny have you ever tried the brazil nut flour?  Looks kind of interesting.

Haven't tried the brazil nut flour, but it sounds like a good idea.  `8)

My order has shipped and should arrive the 28th.  I'll report on the pili nuts then.

My order arrived yesterday.  I haven't decided whether I like them or not yet. I am just going to give them some time.  I also ordered brazil nuts and pistachios and a couple bottles of green tea to make it to free shipping.  They are all very good.

They have a  creamy/buttery taste.  They aren't crunchy they are soft.  They have a thin skin on them like a peanut, which after googling, it needs to be taken off.   They have more fat than macadamia nuts so that is a good thing.  Lots of good minerals in them, so very healthy.
