Lancet Study on T1

This study published in The Lancet journals analysed incidence of diabetes in the first 6 decades of human life and found that nearly 4% of the cases diagnosed after age 30 belong to the LADA category. Naturally, a misdiagnosis can be life threatening.

That's a huge study. I'm going to try to dig through it in more depth with someone much more familiar with reading past the abstract to see just how diagnoses were made and with what criteria - the LADA DX is relatively new and has been the subject of considerable debate so I'm curious how this particular study differentiates T1 and LADA.

My own DX came just after my 60th birthday...

They didn't use the word LADA. I did, to mean Late Onset.
