127 this morning.  I am hoping this new AB will not affect the blood glucose like the last one did. It does require taking it with food or milk.  Since I don't drink milk, I've been taking it with a  small flatbread round that I made from almond flour.

John - Do you recall the name of the probiotic that your doctor recommended?

CCD  - How do you make yogurt at home?  I've tried making it with cows milk or goats milk and had just a modest amount of success.  Our winter climate right now is so cold that the house is also on the cool side.  I think making yogurt is easier when the weather is warm.

Rocky- am good. Just too caught up with work.

GrammaBear- warm weather helps for sure. One of my friends in US used to warm the milk (lukewarm) and add a spoonful of curd and then put it inside the microwave (switched off ofcourse). You could also try putting a small vessel inside a big vessel and shut it tight and then put it in microwave/oven.

Hope that helps!

87 this morning.  All chance of rain is now out of the forecast now so we are only going to see some cooler temps and wind.
I've never tried to make yogurt and probably would fail if I did.  Sad that it now seems that all of the commercial brands have added sugar.  There was a Greek yogurt that was sugar free but it got popular and also started adding sugar.  I gave up on it a long time ago.

Grammabear, I take Probiotic Pearls Acidophilus that I get on Amazon. I take one every day just to keep the gut healthy.

Same with me. I am not able to visit regularly. But in time that should improve.

84 this morning.

Kathy, I'm not sure the brands of probiotic I've taken but there have been several. While I expect there's variation, I'm not sure how critical it is but I suppose I'd look for something in as pure a form as possible.

Still too cold here, but the days are noticeably longer!

83 this morning.  At the house in the mountains we had mountain peaks all around and the days were a lot shorter.  In the winter the sun went behind the mountain around 3:30 PM.  So here it is much more noticeable that the days are getting longer, nice.

138 this morning.

No great plans today beyond my usual chores and a bit of cooking to clean up some left overs hanging around.

It's supposed to be in the mid 40s much of the day, but our forecasts have been about 10-20 degrees optimistic lately.

My aunt down home who travels just got back from nearly a month in the Caribbean where she said it was also unusually cool and often in the 50s.

The two infections I have are fighting each other.  Yesterday the PCP changed medicines twice because of a reaction I had to the first one.  I hope the present one will do the job of clearing the infection.

93 this morning.  WOW, I went to the Caribbean a few years ago and really enjoyed it but the temps were in the 80's.  I think the low temps really would put a damper on it.
Grammabear, I guess certain anti-biotics can really cause some problems.  I was given a prescroption for one a couple of years ago when I went to the urgent care for a burn.  When I picked it up and read the information sheet one of the first complications was increased blood sugar.    Hope you manage to get over this soon.

When I first met you here, KK, you were battling a severe ear infection, and if I remember right, it partially damaged your hearing at that time. My prayers for you are that your immune system kicks it up a notch & starts zapping these nasty bugs! <3
