106 this rainy morning, 106 at bedtime last night.

I did a little reading on pancreatitis last night and I am not totally convinced that is what I have. I don't have any pain, just an underlying nausea and lack of appetite. I don't have pain when I do eat so I am kind of puzzled.

Hmm Velveeta, being born in Wisconsin, I think it is just in my genes that Velveeta is NOT cheese!! LOL  ;D

My neighbor lady has frequent attacks of pancreatitis which are extremely painful and often land her in the hospital for several days until they pass and then she is ok for days, weeks or a few months.  She has been all over looking for a cause for her attacks and as yet has not found one.

My husband was also born and raised in WI and his sister is a microbiologist.  Today's Velveeta is mainly whey protein concentrate, milk protein concentrate, milk, fat and preservatives.  We prefer 'real cheese' to a product made from cheese by products.

209 this morning.

The people I've known to have had pancreatitis describe a great deal of pain as well.

I certainly agree that Velveeta isn't cheese (also not exactly cheap) but like American cheese melts really well. I added Vegemite to mine yesterday and it was delicious. I'd be willing to eat bread and deal with a larger bolus, but it's just too filling with too few nutrients to be worth the couple of bites I could have.

I made a casserole a couple of days ago using all really top quality ground sirloin, dry Marsala, fresh mushroom, good ricotta, fresh tarragon and good gruyere. Doing that produces food that's exceptionally tasty in a different way than Velveeta and bottled ketchup. Something like the difference between great literature and a cheap popular novel that's a good read; there's a place for both...

139 this morning.

I can hear more like a 'normal' person this morning.  We went and received my hearing aid back from a month at the repair shop.  It is so nice to be able to hear nature sounds once again like birds chirping and wind blowing.  Also very enjoyable to hear the television program without cranking up the volume to an uncomfortable level for others in the same room.

Raining today and very cloudy.  Hope the rain decides to quit late morning as we need to buy some groceries today.

89 this morning.  We are at a cool 53° this morning heading to a high of 81° and clear and sunny.  It looks like it may cool down even more in the next couple of days.
They are talking about the possibility of snow next week in the Rockies and northern Midwest states.  Barbara, is that what you hear for your area ?

I don't seem to have such arrows . . . and I'm trying to snip out a screenshot to show the absence thereof, but that isn't working either.

91 this morning, 98 at bedtime last night. I've been feeling pretty good the last few days, just minor nausea. No pain whatsoever.

Wally, there already is fresh snow on the mountains behind my house, from yesterday's rain in the valley.  I don't see any arrows by the avatar either.

Tamagno, that dish you made sounds delish!!! You are quite the chef.

Nope not on my page. I'm on a MacBok Pro using chrome. What are you using?

I logged in on Firefox and still don't see them. All my devices are Apple so I doubt I'll see them. Maybe skb will have some answers.

Well I still don't see them either, and I'm on plain ol' Dell laptop using plain ol' Chrome.

No arrows . . .

Those are scroll arrows Wally. They start to appear whenever the image has been resized by the browser. My guess is that your browser magnification has gone up. Try setting it back to 100% or maybe a step lower to 90 %.

I was thinking of doing away with that Blue Piece theme if you're not addicted to it. Anyone else using it ?

I use the default theme. I used the Blue Piece for a while, but I had some problems with it which I don't remember now, so switched back to the Default.

163 this morning.

Great news about your hearing aids, Grammabear!

Supposed to get warm-ish here starting tomorrow and was a beautiful day yesterday with much the same predicted today.

I'm not sure what the "blue piece" is either Shanny, but I do seem to recall seeing some setting to alter colors. Come to think of it, I may poke around there some to see if I can get bigger/brighter text.
