88 this cloudy drizzly morning, 89 at bedtime last night.

Days in the low 50's and mid 40's, nights in the 30's. Snow in the forecast for next Monday and Tuesday. Won't be long before it is all white here...

138 this morning.

A warm couple of days here with temperatures today and tomorrow in the mid-60s albeit with rain, before it drops back down.

Dead rodents in vents and walls are definitely something to be avoided, Grammabear! So far, my traps remain empty, but that's certain to change before long.

100 this morning.

We are just above freezing here at 34 deg F.  I have a cousin who lives in NM, and they got between 8-12" of snow day before yesterday.  Hope it stays there and doesn't move east.

102 this morning.  It's warming up here and we should be in the low 80s until next Wednesday and then it gets a lot colder.  Not like many of you but colder than it has been here.
We had a significant problem with mice in the mountain house but here in town, so far, not a one.  I don't miss them at all.

One would think we'd have mice problems with this 100+ years old house, but we don't . . . and I hope this comment doesn't jinx us! We've had a few over the years, but none recently. I used to think it was due to having dogs/cats all these years, but it's been nearly a year now since Fritz & Waylon have been gone, and still no mice.

92 this rainy morning, 89 at bedtime last night.

It has rained most of the day today. Tomorrow I have to run errands so I hope it is dry. No rain in the forecast, so far...

We're getting drizzle tonight, but nothing very heavy . . . it's just staying wet underfoot. Not even very wet, because so many leaves are down. Went to town for a few groceries & a bite to eat. Just got back . . .

155 this morning.

Still warm here at 54 this morning with fairly heavy rain most all night and continuing through the day. Back to cold tomorrow, in honor of DST, I suppose.

One trap tripped last night, but no mouse caught - a lucky (at least temporarily) rodent. I've not seen any difference with pets in the house and haven't the heart to try to keep an outdoor cat which many around here have; people let them go feral and they do catch mice, but inevitably fall prey to coyotes.

Waylon was indoor/outdoor until his very late years (he lived 19 years & topped out about 15#) when we introduced a litter box and made him stay inside, on the premise that he was just too sassy & we didn't want him challenging some sassier raccoon or possum. He was big for a domestic cat, but he wasn't quite THAT big!

83 this morning.

I would like to have a pet, but my DH doesn't want the responsibility of maintenance of a pet.  So we don't have one.  I do miss them however, a lot.

95 this morning.  Still warm and dry here.  We had a high of 84° yesterday and heading to the same today.  It's going to be another week before we start to cool down and then may be in the 60s.
It's kind of funny.  Our Rottweiler is pretty much live and let live.  At the other house he ignored most small creatures and rabbits roamed the yard without any notice.  The only ones he went after was the chipmunks and squirrels.  For some reason he was really ready to pounce on them.  A mouse could run circles around him and he wouldn't move.  Here he doesn't have to.  The female rescue Australian Cattle dog we have chased anything that moves so if a mouse showed up I have no doubt she would be on it in an instant.

I'm really wanting another pet too, but my DH also says 'no'. :(

101 this cloudy morning, 98 at bedtime last night.

Little bit of drizzle but not much.  I hope it stays dry for the weekend as the yard people are coming Monday.

Boo is totally an indoor cat. The occasional mouse that gets in, he plays with like it is his buddy...until he eats it!! I feed the birds outside and Boo sits in the various windows and watches them..cat TV.  ;D

OMG!! the grocery store was a nightmare today!! Apparently they were having a baking sale...all ingredients for holiday baking were on sale. I didn't pay any attention to the ads as I don't buy those items. The store was packed!! Everyone but me had flour/powdered sugar etc in their carts. The lines went all the way back to the end of the store and doubled back!! I think part of it was also it was the 3rd, assistance checks come out today too. It was horrible! Fortunately I seemed to have found the shortest line just by luck, but it still took almost an hour to check out...  :(
