When I was working I was a type B, it was a 60 mile round trip to work and a 60 mile round trip to town to shop or what ever I needed.  This was almost all highway miles and I knew pretty close how many miles I got on a fill up.  I just set my odometer and went by miles and didn't worry about what the fuel gauge showed.  Never had a problem.  Now that I am living in town it is a 6 mile round trip to go from one end of town to the other.  I have become a type A now and never let my fuel tank get under 1/2 full.  Even at that I only fill up at around 6 weeks or so.

I tend to lean towards being a Type A. I feel uncomfortable when the gauge gets close to 1/2 full. Kind of weird as I hardly go out at all any more.

Still a Type B. I remember once me and my wife were driving from another city to our farm and were running very low on gas. There's a small hill-station mid way and I thought of refueling there. When we reached there the pumps were shut down due to some strike. Most of the balance trip was downhill and I had to come down in neutral to save on gas. Just made it to the next gas station.
