Yeah it's a mystery.  Shows up just fine now.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

It is and it has been reported by several users. The SMF team is in the know and trying to figure it out. Maybe, the next version will have the fix.

I don't really think it is the macOS because I can go back and insert the exact same pix and it stays just fine. I think it is some sort of bug in the SMF system, not mine.

No I don't think it is a bug in your system but in how the SMF system is handling it.  Nothing you can do about it but wait for the SMF team to resolve it.

Nope, it happens to me as well. Besides, with my account, a thumbnail of the image gets attached to some of my other posts. That happens only with my account which has admin access. Even this I have reported to SMF.
We're a few versions behind with Tiny Portal and I have to update that as well.
