I'll have to look at the password manager. Is it the Google on? Or is there a better one? I've been kind of afraid being all in on place online they could be hacked...yeah worry wart here!   ~ cat ~

I have created a Note on my iPhone where I keep and update all my passwords. The Note itself is password protected.

That sounds like a great idea!! How do you password protect the Note??  I've never done anything like that. But it sure would be handy to have on the phone instead of pages of written passwords to go through. Is there any way to alphabetize the list? Getting way outside ey techie abilities!   ~ cat ~

Press on the Note (without opening it) and the option to lock it will open up. You could protect it with your iPhone password or create a new one. About arranging them in alphabetical order, let me check.

About the alphabetical sorting this might help

https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/iphone/iph1ac0b3a2/ios

Scroll down to "Manage items in the List". However, I will need to check and reconfirm that it can be done. Better is to make an alphabetical list and then copy it to the Note.

Thanks for the info skb! I wonder if sorting alphabetically would also then put new entries into proper alpha order too. Probably asking too much of it...LOL I will rewrite my list in alpha order for now to be ready. So many I no longer even use...

The password manager I use is included with Norton anti-virus I have had for several years. It is kind of pricy but I do have confidence that it does offer protection for a lot of badness out there and the version I have is for up to 5 devices so it is on my desktop, MacBook, phone and iPad.  The thing I like about a password manager is that it will automatically insert your ID and password when you bring up a website like your bank account.  There are several password managers out there, some free and some for a fee.

Just for the record, I had to upload that image a second time, because of the 'invalid' error.
